Project breakdown

What changed and why.

A concise look at the problem, the decisions behind the build and the user journey Webpulse shaped for this project.

01 / Problem

The problem

Business friction

No Speakers

The problem

No Speakers needed a focused digital home for the label, its releases and its music ecosystem. A label website has to do more than look good — it has to help visitors understand the sound, explore releases, find listening routes and connect with the wider catalogue.

Without a clear website structure, release promotion can become scattered across platforms. No Speakers needed a place where the brand, catalogue, release pages, newsletter route and external music links could sit together in a more deliberate experience.

02 / Strategy

The creative challenge

Webpulse built a full website for No Speakers, structuring the experience around the label story, the music catalogue, release-led content and routes into external listening and purchase platforms.

The site was shaped to feel more editorial and cultural than corporate. For a music label, the website needs to carry atmosphere while still making the practical journeys clear: explore the music, follow the label, join the mailing list and move into the right external platform when ready.

Project structure

No Speakers

The creative challenge

  • Build a full website for an underground music label.
  • Create a stronger digital identity around the No Speakers brand.
  • Make releases and catalogue content easier to browse.
  • Support release promotion without making the website feel like a generic music template.
  • Route listeners toward external platforms including Bandcamp, SoundCloud and Juno where relevant.
  • Support newsletter growth and ongoing label communication.

03 / Build

Features built around releases, catalogue browsing and music routes.

The build focused on the real actions people needed to take, from the public-facing journey to the internal steps needed to manage the work properly.

04 / UX decisions

UX and design thinking

UX and design thinking

The website needed to balance mood with clarity. Music-label sites can easily become either too plain or too chaotic, so the structure was shaped around a calmer editorial rhythm that lets the releases and label identity breathe.

Visitors can move from the label story into catalogue content, release pages and external music platforms without losing context. That is important because the website is not replacing platforms like Bandcamp or SoundCloud — it is connecting them into one clearer brand journey.

The design direction keeps the experience visually distinctive while still making core actions obvious: listen, explore, follow, subscribe or make contact.

05 / Outcome

Outcome

No Speakers now has a dedicated website that brings the label identity, releases, catalogue and external platform routes into one clearer digital experience.

The build gives the label a stronger base for promoting future releases, supporting newsletter growth and giving listeners a more intentional way to discover the music beyond social media alone.
